Preschool and primary students participate in physical education classes during their school day. Students learn to swim and dance and are introduced to volleyball and basketball. In upper elementary, in addition to P.E. classes, participation in after-school sports becomes an optional activity, and by high school, all high school students are required to participate in the after school sports’ program. Students may choose between basketball and volleyball, although a select few choose to participate in individual sports outside of school, such as tennis, golf or swimming. CISS has had basketball, volleyball and soccer teams compete nationally and internationally and proudly bring trophies back home. Our student athletes have had the opportunity to represent CISS locally and abroad.
